a good book like C++ primer plus 5th edition or  any book from deitel specially 5th edition and higher will tell you why it should be done the way it is and why its not a good idea to do it a different way. or it will show you other options for doing it. i have C++ priemer plus 5th edition and deitel 5th edition and they are both awesome

A young man came to interview a bank president,

"Tell me sir, how did you become successful?"
"Two words."
"And what are they, Sir?"
"Right decisions."
"How do you make right decisions?"
"One word... experience."
"How do you get experience?"
"Two words."
"And what are they?"
"Wrong decisions."

Holy crap! Thank you for the link, but sadly, I'd prefer to get them in person--the whole shadiness aspect has me won over.
