Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows of any good short online tutorials on C++ or Python. For both I just want the tutorials to cover the basics of programing console programs; meaning the black rectangle window.

Diveintopython is a great (free, online) book for learning Python.. Not sure if it meets your requirement of being short though. http://diveintopython.org

As for C++, I'm still learning myself. I don't think there would be a short tutorial though as it's very extensive. The same goes for Python really, a short tutorial won't really teach you much and you'll miss a lot of the juicy, often important stuff.

I'm using This Tutorial.
It explains C++ pretty well, and here's a good guide for python:
